Community Garage Sale Trail – Saturday 5 May

Palmwoods Woombye Lions and Cr Jenny McKay, in conjunction with Sunshine Coast Regional Council, are asking YOU to get involved in your local Garage Sale Trail on Saturday, 5 May.
You can host a sale or put on your walking shoes on the day and wander around your town browsing the fine wares on offer.
The Garage Sale Trail is a national initiative and sees homes and business all across the country opening their garage and front doors to sell their second-hand and hand-crafted wares – all on the same day!  The Garage Sale Trail is about sustainability, community & creativity.

Where: Homes, businesses and community centres throughout the local area.
COST:   Free
Why should you get involved?
·        If you are a household, the Garage Sale Trail is the perfect way to de-clutter & make a little pocket money.
·        If you are a maker or creator, use the Garage Sale Trail as an opportunity to market your wares to an audience who want to discover treasure.
·        If you are a local business it’s an opportunity to connect to your neighbourhood and make a positive contribution to your community.
·        If you’re a community group or cultural institution, the Garage Sale Trail is the perfect way to fundraise and/or connect to your local community.

How to get involved:

If you make jewellery, paint landscapes, or other, then open up your garage to sell (and promote it) to the community.  If you’re in a band, then turn your garage into a temporary stage. Or, if you just have a lot of trash and treasure lying around, this is the perfect opportunity to make a bit of cash off it!

Whatever your wares, you must register your garage sale online at www.garagesaletrail.com.au
